WE HAVE A HEARTBEAT!

Make sure you vote! To your right==>

We had the best surprise today at our Dr.'s appt. First we got to see the first picture of our sweet baby, then we saw baby's heartbeat. It gets better...we got to hear our baby's heartbeat! It was so emotional and exciting and amazing. As of today my LNMP is 7wks 2days, but per baby we are 6 weeks. Dr. Parks said we will go by baby, so our due date is JUNE 12, 2008. Jack and I want to thank every one of our friends and family, who kept us in your thoughts and prayers these past few months. WE DID IT!! Well, Dr. Parks wants to see us again in 2 weeks to make sure baby is growing. She gave me a few rules to follow for the next few weeks:

1- NO exercise (LMAO- NO PROBLEM, I don't do exercise)

2-Take it easy, looks like Jack's got chores for a while.

3-No heavy lifting.

4-Eat crunchy veggies. (for the constipation, raisin bran is my new friend)

Have a great week!

The yolk sac

Today's Dr. appt.

Jack and I went to see Dr. Parks today to have our first ultrasound. The results were not as great as we hoped. Dr. Parks told us that we are only measuring 4 weeks pregnant at this time (LNMP= 6 weeks) and she is unable to see the yolk sac. She told us she is concerned because our HCG was in the 3000's on Monday and should be even higher today so the yolk sac should be visible. We took another blood test today to see where our levels are and will return next Thursday for another ultrasound. Dr. Parks said she does not want to intervine with the pregnancy if I have not had any bleeding yet. She is giving us two weeks and two ultrasounds to see if this lil tyke starts growin'. Hopefully next week brings us better news. It appears to be a 50/50 pregnancy right now. We will be waiting impatiently with our fingers crossed that all goes well this week. Just pray that our little one has the strength to hold on and continue to grow!

Prego Update

I went to the OBGYN on Friday for a blood test. On Monday I was really dramatic and upset because it was "already" 9:30am and the Dr's office had not called me with the results...so I called them! Anyway about an hour later I spoke with a nurse from the office who advised me the test results are positive, but the levels are very low. SO, I returned to the Dr today for a second test and I go on Wednesday and Friday of this week for follow-up tests. They are testing to see if all my levels increase as they should. The Dr. put me on light duty at work (if my Capt. approves it) for the time being. If Capt. says no I either work normal duties or use sick time.
Its nutty that this early on I'm sooo bloated that to squeeze my lardness into a 10lb vest, 20lb belt, and polyester monkey suit is not fun!

I will update as I get new info.
