100 days left!

Well, 100 days- seems so long, 3 months- so so, 14 weeks- ahhhh she is going to be here before we know it. I think Lilly is destine to be a champion kick boxer. I have no clue if it is normal, but ALL DAY LONG she is moving, kicking, twisting, sliding, and who knows what else...I think break dancing. I am still proud to say she goes to bed when I do. So I am able to sleep through the night...most of the time. Both Jack and I really get a kick out of watching my belly move and twitch. Oh yea, she is that visible already.

Upon investigation I found out some birth weights-- I was 9+, Jack was 8+, my brother 8+, Jack's sister 8+, (here is where it gets really interesting) my aunt 11+, and my Dad 12+ pounds! UGHHH, I'm thinkin' ...I'm in soooooo much trouble. I can only cross my fingers that my north of the border family did not convert kilograms to pounds properly.

I broke down and cut ~4 inches off my hair. I love it! I told the, earns more than me in an hour-over charging to wash, cut, and dry stupid hair, lady to cut it as short as possible with enough to pull into a pony tail. Most people have a certain..thing, a "look" mine is a pony tail. Actually my entire look is flip flops, jeans, t-shirt, zip up sweater (must have), no make-up, and THE PONYTAIL. Please, lets face it I should call my look Walmart Chic!

I gotta go, Lilly wants cookies!

Monday's Dr. appt.

Everything went great on Monday's appt. I gained 5 more pounds, making a total of 15 in 6 months. I had to swig the juice for blood testing this appt. It is going on Friday and the Dr. never called so...NO DIABETES! YAY, she said they would know by Wednesday. The heart beat was very strong. Lilly is moving a lot. I am just glad it is during the day and she seems to be pretty quiet at night.
Jack felt Lilly kick for the first time Monday night. He was very excited to FINALLY feel her. The conversation that went...

"did you feel that"
"no"
"what about that"
"no"
"anything"
"no"
"that one"
"NO"

...was beginning to get tiresome. I am so happy Lilly finally decided to appease her Daddy and give him a couple kicks.

Jack is now a Training Officer ("FTO" for those of you who love our cop slang-Mark E.) and has his first trainee. He has also put in a letter to try and transfer to a day shift. Hopefully we will find out soon, it will be nice to have evenings off together with a baby.

I am testing, yet again, for a position in the Lab. The written test is Friday and the Review Board is in ~2 weeks. We will not know if I get selected for a long while. Keep your fingers crossed that I get an A+++ on the test.

Lilly's room is almost ready for her!

It was just another busy weekend at our house, painting and decorating. I, as always, took some pics of the work we did. The room is 80% painted, 25% decorated, and 100% empty w/out Lilly. We get more excited as her room continues to come together. The pictures do not show the detail work very well so I will explain it. The walls are a beige color with sponged on scroll deco (using a stencil). Then we put up chair rail ~1ft from the ceiling and the top part is a light pink. The empty frame is just waiting for me to complete Lilly's name in wood cut-outs. The furniture is pretty well finished. We are just awaiting the arrival of her bedding so we can put it all together.

We see Dr. Parks on Monday. I will post update later.

5 1/2 Month Belly Pic

I know this picture of me is SCARY, but it's the best I could do since it was 11 o'clock at night. I had to wait for Jack to get home from work, so I had already been in my jammies for a few hours, plus a little nap time! Hence the bed head. I'm definitley putting on the pounds now. My appetite is insane.

Lilly's room

Lilly's room is still a work in progress, but I snapped some photos anyway. I have worked the past 2 weekends on re-painting my old furniture for Lilly's room. I purchased a new light fixture-so adorable. So now the crib is set up, the light is installed, and the furniture is close to finished. I still need to paint the drawer pulls and figure out if I like the crib & furniture as a set. I just got the wall letters I ordered for her room in the mail, they are so cute! Her bedding may not be here for another few weeks. :-( I was really wanting to paint her room this weekend, but I think I need a break from manual labor. I just want to get things done while I am still able to help, Jack has been doing so much for me already. Here are the pictures...

Lilly is moving and groovin in my belly! She is very active.
