Dr. appt.

It all started Saturday...(i wish i could do the dreamy, wavy, cloud effect here)
Lilly was playing dead or something and refused to move all morning. I tried shaking my belly, a starbucks coffee, walking, and more shaking--nothing. A little later in the day, ok it was like 5pm she finally became a little active. I spent the evening lying on the couch concentrating on her movements and medicating a horrible headache. Sunday was a little better, but she was still no where near as active as she normally is.

This brings us to Monday. I went to work and mainly just tracked her movements all morning. Lilly was not kicking so much, but I could feel her sliding around. After co-workers commented on my ghostly white face I decided to call Dr. Parks and tell her what was going on. By this time I was nauseous, dizzy, and head achy They suggested I come in and get checked out.

SO, The results-
Baby Lilly is fine. Her heart sounded strong on the doppler and my BP and urine tests were good. Dr. Parks put me on a heart monitor for ~20min to track Lilly's heart. She said she looks AWESOME!!! She said Lilly is reacting more like a 32 week baby.

CONCLUSION
Baby Lilly is doing great and Mommy caught a bug or something. How sweet that my little angel took it easy on me while I was feeling bad. As of today, she is back to normal and I am also feeling better!

Drama Queen here!

I have had the most stressful week and I am really looking forward to Chatie's crawfish boil on Saturday! I really need a drink.......DAMN.

First the BAD-
1. The "talk" is out, I don't think I got the position in the Lab. The spot still has not been posted, but if what I hear is true...I LOSE AGAIN!
All I have wanted this past year is to have a baby & promote into the Lab, looks like obtaining one cost the other. Though I am truly blessed and overjoyed with the winner!!! I would not want it any other way!

2. I got "the call" from the Dr's office Wed. night. Unfortunatley I could not answer so I got "the message"...

"Hi Jody this is Ivory from Dr. Parks office I need you to call me at your earliest convenience" message left at 5:30 pm.

OK- now I have to wait all night to find out what this cryptic message is really telling me---OH CRAP, WHAT's WRONG NOW!
My blood test showed I am anemic, so I have to take Iron supplements...UHHHH, 150mg of Iron a day. I thought I was clogged before this is going to be so fun.

3. I'm fat.

4. My feet are fat.

5. My tearducts are resembling Niagra Falls. Thanks Mom & Dad for letting me cry and vent all night with you, I really needed it.

Now the GOOD-
1. Overall, Baby Lilly appears to be healthy and will be joining us in ~12 weeks. YAY!

2. I have the best family.

3. I have a job. I think Shenandoah might be hiring soon-options???

4. My husband massages my back when I need it. A+++

5. I took Friday off work, I told them I needed a "Mental Health Day". They bought it, or maybe it was that obvious.

6. Jack took Saturday off work so we could have fun together.

7. My feet will shrink, though my butt will not.

8. Crawfish with friends on Saturday!

9. My husbsand's insanely high tolerance for...ME.

10. Baby Lilly kicking my belly!!!!

OMG- belly update!

Well, we went to see Dr. Parks today. She said everything looks good. All exams show normal. Unfortunately I have found my appetite + a starving family of 4. I gained 10lbs, actually 8lbs I re-weighed myself w/out my shoes. Dr. Parks said my weight gain is normal and not excessive...yet. Anyway I did some blood work today and I got a Rhogam shot in my hiney. To explain I'm RH- so it is Rh-immune Globulin medication administered to RH negative pregnant women to prevent Hemolytic Disease of the Newborn. I know blah blah blah, it is nothing major, but it prevents my body from producing antibodies against baby Lilly if she is RH+, which would harm her. Oh yeah and it hurt!! Our next visit is in 3 weeks then we are down to 2 week appointments. It is moving pretty fast right now. Our 3rd trimester starts this Friday. We are so excited to meet her.

Now that is a belly, right! I'm still not totally convinced that a second baby isn't going to pop out at delivery. This is insane. I have just less than 3 months left of growing. GOOD TIMES!!!

Jack was reading one of our books last night and it said "don't worry if you don't feel that immediate love for your baby, it could take weeks to form a bond" Jack's response was "they are stupid, I already love her so much!" I can't wait for him to see our little Lilly for the first time, it is going to be so special.

**She knows I'm talking about her, she is kickin' me.

Have a great week.

FYI- the Spychaj's updated their blog! LOL

NEW HOBBY!

Ok, so I decided--with Meredith's suggestion--to make some onesies to sell at her store. I was originally trying to find some cute, original onesies on the internet (for Lilly)...most of the sites charge ~$25.00 per onesie. Ummm not gonna pay that, so I decided I would make my own. I took one to dinner to show Mer my crafty work. She said I should make more and she would put them in "Addy's Corner" in her store to see if they would sell. What the heck! I always have a medical bill drowning me- maybe I can use the extra $$$$ to make payments. Soooo, I took pictures of my cheesy work and put it on display for your viewing pleasure.
