Daddy is so proud...

Lilly has taught herself how to play X-Box Live. The only problem is Daddy has to learn how to share game time with her. Daddy can play Call of Duty for hours and Lilly gets really upset when Daddy wont share! LOL
Lilly got to go swimming at the WAC on Saturday. I got to show her where I grew up and spent so many hours training and playing. I took Lilly up to the 5 meter platform to look down. Grandma would not let her go up to 10 meter, she thought it would scare her. We decided not to jump off since I am still healing from the c-section. Otherwise Lilly and I totally would have synchro jumped together! JUST KIDDING for anyone who thought I was serious.

Lilly also got to meet Laura and wish her good luck in Beijing. We spent the morning at the WAC with many of the old team watching Laura and Nancilea's practice.

As most of you know they are tearing down the entire facility to build some much needed condos! Who needs a place for their kids to exercise and be trained by superior coaches in 2 sports (Diving & Swimming). These sports are also a great opportunity for college scholarships. Where do all these athletes go now??? Good question!

Finally, I had my 6 week appointment with Dr. Parks. She said everything looks good. I have lost 37 lbs and have 13 to go before I reach my pre-pregers weight. I wish I could drop down to my goal weight that fast. I still feel like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!

First, I want to say that Lilly is feeling better on her new medicine. The spit-ups are almost non-existent at this point. I think the biggest help has been holding her upright after eating.
We spent last Saturday at the Rivera's house with many of Lilly's new friends. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Lilly met with the Elliott's and Orum's for her first storytime at the library. She did so well and seemed to enjoy the singing. I am looking forward to going again next week.

Look who is already 1 month old

Things are going pretty well for our family. I can not believe 1 month has already gone by. Lilly's sleeping patterns have regressed a little, but we now have a reason. It appears Lilly may suffer from reflux so starting tonight she is taking a Rx medicine. Dr. Haggerty also suggested we hold Lilly upright after feedings for at least 20 minutes, and to elevate her head when she is in her crib. She is growing so fast, we took her to get her current weight, she is a whopping 10lbs 6oz. That is almost 2 pounds in 1 month. As far as me, I have been having aches in my belly near the incision and noticed that my scar has opened up in one spot. Dr. Parks put me on antibiotics since there is some bleeding. The last thing I need is an infection. I can't take it any easier than I have been, so I still can't do anything to get rid of my belly. At this rate I will not fit into my uniform when it is time to return to work. Lastly, Jack is doing good. He is such a great Daddy. We are hoping he will be able to take another vacation from work next month to spend some time with Lilly and I. We are really enjoying our new family.

There is hope!

SLEEP

Lilly has finally started a night time sleeping pattern her Mommy is proud of. We usually try to start getting her down around 10pm. She is usually asleep by 11pm and recently her new wake up time is around 3am then again around 7am. This is so great for my sanity! My mood is much improved and to top it off she has finally taken to her crib...in her room! We were afraid she would be attached to her swing and we would end up homeless from buying batteries.

2 Questions!!!

1. Why don't all swings plug into an outlet?

2. Why don't they make rechargeable D batteries?

4th of July:

Lilly got to be with her Daddy on the 4th, which was important to me. Jack was working an extra job by the Waterway in Towncenter for the July 4th festivities. I did not want him to miss Lilly's 1st firework show, so I parked near his post and stood by him during the show. You would be amazed at Lilly's reaction...she SLEPT... the entire time. There was no wincing, twitching, or crying at the insane noise put off from the fireworks. She was content thru the whole thing.
