The Bug!

OK, I have a question! How do you get the flu (or whatever it was I suffered from) when you rarely leave your house? Yesterday I woke up to Lilly screaming for breakfast and my belly was rumbling. Within minutes I was running to the bathroom where I was sick at both ends...at the same time! Lilly was still screaming in the other room and the only thing I could do was call my Mom for help. Ugh, I kept thinking I need to do this on my own. There will be days I get sick and I have a kid to take care of now, but there was NO WAY I could take care of her. Luckily my Mom hurried down to help for the day, what a life saver. The thing is I had been at home all weekend and the only visitors were my Mom and Jack's Mom on Saturday, who both got sick today.

I got my blog book- TOTALLY AWESOME! I was so impressed by how the book turned out that I will definitely make another one.

This is Lilly with her Uncle Brent! He is still getting used to being around a baby so we haven't been able to talk him into babysitting yet! I think the poopy diapers freak him out. That's understandable, they still freak me out sometimes. SEEDS? Where do those poop seeds come from? It is actually starting to ruin some foods for me...such as Dijon mustard, apricot jelly, sesame seeds...ewwwww!

GUESS WHAT I GOT! GUESS WHAT I GOT!

An embroidery machine. Jack splurged on me and hooked me up with a starter embroidery machine so I can...embroider stuff! I can't wait to make fun kids stuff for friends as well as cash in on selling some things in Mer's store (if she let's me) LOL. I will need some time to figure the machine out, but once I do I'm ready for any orders!

GREAT, the sight of a cop already freaks Lilly out!

Well I return to work on Saturday, I am nervous about leaving Lilly for the day. Not only b/c I will miss her so much, but b/c she REFUSES to take a bottle. If she continues on this way I will lose all my sitters b/c she will drive them nuts with her screaming. Lilly has truly proven herself to be hard headed just as Jack feared. She can hold out a lot longer than we can. I am contemplating weening her off the breast completely to make things easier. I just don't know what to do, b/c breast feeding is SOOO easy and I love that time with her. Wish us luck and if anyone has any suggestions feel free to pass them my way.

LASTLY, to anyone with word verification on their comments it is my humble opinion that you disable this option on your blog due to the fact that I hate trying to figure out if I'm looking at a j or an i an m or a w so on and so forth the info below explains what the word verification does and I have never used the word verification and have never had a problem with an automated system leaving a comment I think the word verification is as annoying as this RUN ON SENTENCE! HA HA

The "word verification" option can be found on the Settings Comments tab for your blog:
If you choose "yes" for this setting, then people leaving comments on your blog will be required to complete a word verification step, similar to the one presented when you create a blog:
What this does is to prevent automated systems from adding comments to your blog, since it takes a human being to read the word and pass this step. If you've ever received a comment that looked like an advertisement or a random link to an unrelated site, then you've encountered comment spam.

Lilly is 2 months old

Can you believe how quick time goes! Lilly seems to be growing so fast. We had her 2 month check up on Wednesday. Lilly had her 1st round of shots and did surprisingly well. That is until about 2 hours later when she became very upset. I have never seen her cry so hard. I'm guessing she started feeling some pain, but after getting Tylenol she drifted off to sleep for a while. I noticed little bruises on her legs today, poor thing. As for her stats, Lilly is right on track. Daddy got Lilly really relaxed before her shots!

Height--23 inches---75th percentile
Weight--11lb 12oz---75th percentile
Head----16----95th percentile

Our little angel... she has no clue what is about to happen.

This was so hard to watch. I know I cried a bit and Jack said he was fighting back tears also.

OUCH!!!

"Daddy that hurt!"

Daddy has the magic touch with his baby girl.

The Dr asked us if she has rolled over yet and how well she holds her head up when she's on her belly. I felt bad because we don't really do much tummy time with her because she hates to be on her stomach. Dr. Haggerty said that it probably hurts her belly and that it was fine that we don't give her tummy time. She said it may delay her crawling some, but not to feel bad about it. She said she will build strength when she starts to sit up and can play in her exercauser.

The Dr also told me to stop nursing Lilly to sleep, but it is sooooo much easier. So at this moment Lilly is crying and crying and not going to sleep. This is way better for who??? I feel like we both lose at this game. OK, I swear she just cried MOMMA! AH, is there another way to do this?

Lastly, we just got a new computer and I have no photo software installed yet. I also have not been able to get all my pics off the old computer. I took pictures of Lilly at the Dr. and her 2 month pics. I will post them later.

OK-I have to go help my baby girl fall asleep. She is really upset now!

Birthday storm!

Lilly survived her first Tropical Storm, which hit on her 8 week birthday. We had a great day at home together. All three of us had breakfast in bed, then we all had lunch in bed. Jack made me get up for dinner and we actually ventured out that evening for dessert at Sonic.
Lilly has changed so much in 8 weeks, it's amazing. Jack and I enjoy watching her take in her surroundings. Our favorite is getting her to laugh and smile. It melts our hearts when we talk to her and she responds with a big grin. She is starting to grasp objects and hold them. It is mainly with her blankey or pooh bear. She has not managed to roll over yet, but she is so close to figuring it out. **If only her arms weren't in the way.** Our little peanut is definitely going to be a handful as she gets older. She has already started "testing" us. She will cry (so dramatically) and as soon as one of us picks her up she smiles. Her dramatic (but fake) cry actually sounds like "Waaa...Waaa...Waaa" and that bottom lip, WOW, does she ever know how to use that thing!

Lilly with her pooh bear.

Lilly and her Daddy comparing feet! Lilly's are WAY cuter.

This is Lilly and Annemarie playing together at the Robinson's house. It was fun watching them interact with each other.

I will leave you all with this awesome picture of Addison! Man, I love this kid- she always makes me giggle.

Reflux Rocks!

Well heaven forbid I'm a couple hours late giving Lilly her medicine. This is the result of my mistake! The best part is that this was only ~1/3 of the mess. It covered a burp cloth and ME. I felt so bad, but I had to snap this picture before giving her a bath...it was too funny. She didn't even make a fuss...until she wanted to replace her lost food.

I can't figure out why Lilly still doesn't understand that her meals ONLY come from my boobies. When you try to kiss her this is her reaction. She tries to get food from anything and anyone.

Have I ever mentioned the girl likes to eat? Well, she doesn't she actually LOVES to eat...ALL THE TIME. Or at least whenever she is awake. Her newest routine is mini napping between mini meals. This has me feeding her about every 45 min throughout the early part of the day. BUT, she is sleeping a lot better at night. I don't know if this is why her schedule seems to be out of wack right now.

I finally made it out to Meredith's store to display my onesies for sale. I just hope people buy them. Also, I bought 2 of the music CD's Mer has been telling everyone about. If you don't know what I am talking about, they are made with your childs name inserted into the songs. They are so fun.

Daddy playing with Lilly during tummy time. She is getting close to rolling over, she just gets really upset when she is on her belly for more than 2 min.

Lastly, I ordered a blog book! I had found this web site that will upload all your blog entries and photos and put them into a book. http://www.blurb.com/create/book/blogbook

After that you can go thru and edit the book however you want it. This includes adding more pictures and text (I added everyones comments). I should be getting it soon so I will let you know how it turns out.

FYI- Mine is a hard back book with photo on cover and back and has 90 pages. The final cost was $45.00 plus $9.00 shipping. The soft back book runs about 1/2 that price. Not too bad for keeping all your memories!
