A sad goodbye for old friends...and new!

Today we say goodbye to the Elliott Family, who is beginning a new adventure in Louisiana! Lilly and I got to spend a little time playing with Kennedy and I may have moved a box or two. I really can't type to much about them leaving because...it makes me really sad. I don't even know if they have made it to their new home, but I already miss them like crazy. Sweet little Kennedy...sniff sniff. Thank goodness for the blog so we can see pictures *AT LEAST TWICE A MONTH SABRINA!!!!* (not like we won't talk on the phone every other day, we are so good at that) So, here are some pictures of the girls last play date for a while.

Watch those fingers Kennedy, Lilly will bite you with her 2 teeth.

Tickle tickle tickle, or as Kennedy would say "Dickle dickle dickle"
Wanna wrestle?
Lilly getting some much wanted Lovin' from her Auntie Bre.
This is pouty pants Elliott! She is just so sad cause Lilly and I had to go home.
This picture was pretty cool!
We will miss you guys so much and we can't wait to get together again in December. I hope you get settled into your new place and adjust to your new life quickly.

On a much happier note...

Look who's 5 months old

Well, Lilly is already 5 months old. We stopped in at the hospital so I could get her weight, she is 15lbs 2oz. I know Lilly will be up and about before too long, so I am starting to baby proof early. We purchased a new storage/ottoman to replace our sharp cornered coffee table in the living room. The other day I watched little Kennedy topple over and bonk her head on it, so I knew that it had to go. I find it interesting when other babies come to the house, because I truly believe they are saving Lilly from numerous injuries. By watching them I continue to realize what will have to be packed up, nailed down, thrown away...

We took her 5 month pictures tonight and I was lucky to get a couple decent shots. Lilly has her first cold. She has a horrible runny nose and can barely breath, constant sneezing, and now a little cough. You can see her puffy little eyes in the picture. I have been feeling under the weather myself. I don't know who gave who what, or where we caught it, but I have a cough and sore throat.
Our peanut is on her way to sitting up. She still seems kinda top heavy and will fall over to the side when we try to sit her up. But she has mastered the seated pike position...thank goodness for the belly, which prevents her face from being smooshed into her knees!
Lilly's first tooth is really coming in and now the second tooth is making its appearance. I have not noticed anything up top yet. I just hope she has STRAIGHT teeth...I hear braces go for ~$8,000.00 these days YIKES!!! Her hair is really starting to grow also, its just not doing so evenly. You can kinda see some length on top in the following picture. She has some length in the way bottom back as well, then the rest of her little noggin is pretty much peach fuzz!

People let me tell you 'bout my best friend...
Kimber has turned out to be a great dog for Lilly. They are going to be buddies for sure. Kimber watches over Lilly and is very gentle with her. Her face lights up when Kimber comes up to her and she laughs when she gets a big slobbery kiss. (that still grosses me out)
This was Lilly bundled up for the last New Caney football game of the season. Why do we go to high school football games you ask! Jack's sister, Summer, dances for the Bluebonnets and we love to watch her perform during half time. This is her Senior year and she was recognized at the game.
WAY TO GO SUMMER!

So many new things this week...

Hmmm, where to start. LILLY IS GETTING HER FIRST TOOTH! This actually made me want to cry a little. I can't believe my little baby is getting her pearly whites already!

Lilly was Cinderella for Halloween, the pictures do not do this costume justice. It was really cute. We went to the Rivera's house to trick or treat with some friends.
1st- Halloween
1st- time Trick or Treating
We were lucky enough to get a family picture while escorting about 11 kids down the street.
I sat Lilly in front of this really cute pumpkin in the Rivera's front yard. And Lilly looked so adorable in her costume. My only mistake was handing the camera off to Jack to capture the image! LOL Just kidding sweetie, this is a lovely picture.
1st- Jack's photography lesson.
Well Lilly started showing interest in eating. I decided it was time to try the rice again. So this is the outcome, I don't know who made more of the mess me or her! She did enjoy the meal and this was...
1st- time in her high chair
1st- rice meal
1st- time to use a bib (other than as a burp rag/drool catcher)
When she was done she wiped her own mouth clean!

Lilly is showing off how tall she is in this picture. We are at that point where the 0-3 month onesies are too short and the 3-6 onesies swallow her. In come my new best friend...

I found these onesie extensions at Babies R Us. They are great! I know they look a little silly but with pants on who would know.

I will leave you with this picture of Lilly cuddling with her bedtime bear. This thing has been Lilly's best friend. She sucks on his foot and wraps herself around it when she sleeps. It is really cute. Thanks Nana & Papa!
