Merry Christmas

We just wanted to wish a Merry Christmas to everyone! We have a very funny video of our peanut doing so in her own way...

I now have a Lilly story to tell you. We have found that peanut LOVES watching TV. The thing is, at 6 months old she already has a favorite show. It is called Jack's Big Music Show on NOGGIN, it really is kinda cute and doesn't drive me crazy.

So now you might be wondering, how in the heck can you tell Lilly is addicted to a show already? Watch the following video and you will see the cutest reaction from her when it comes on. So you don't think we are being melodramatic we have caught this- not once, but twice- and on two separate occasions. You will notice that Lilly is paying no attention to the TV until she hears Jack's (the puppet not the daddy) voice. She recognizes the music as well.

I'm 6 months old!

Hi, I turned 6 months old today! I am getting so big, you should see all things I can do. Well first I am sitting better-as you can see in the first picture. My Mom and Dad are really proud of me, they said I need to sit up if I want to play with all my Christmas toys...I'm practicing really hard. There is one thing I really don't understand, mushy food! What is that stuff? If you ask me I would much rather drink my bottle and be done, but noooooo I have to eat peas and beans and sweet potatoes, YUK! Don't even get me started on that rice cereal, seriously- what are my parents thinking! My parents make me laugh all the time, they are so silly. My favorite is when Daddy plays hide and seek with me...it's so fun. Tonight I am staying at my Nana and Papa's house, we always have a great time...they have crazy dogs everywhere. Guess what gift I got for my birthday! IT SNOWED, I got to see my first snow. My Mommy wished it would have been daylight outside so she could take a picture of me sitting in it. I got my first ever cookie the other day, now that I enjoyed. It was very yummy, but I made a big mess eating it. I'm still learning how to eat so a lot of it ended up on my clothes.
I swear, my Mommy is always taking pictures of me. I can't even enjoy a cookie without mamarazzi photo journaling my every move! Its OK though cause I know I'm gonna love looking at these pictures when I get older. I just hope they don't show these to my future boyfriend, that would be humiliating.


I gotta go now! It's past my bedtime and I have a busy day tomorrow. I hope all my Texas friends enjoyed my birthday snow, I will wish for it again on Christmas. I am so excited for my first Christmas, I hope I get to see Santa. BYE BYE

SANTA!

Lilly had her first picture with Santa the other day! She did pretty well except for it being almost 8pm, which is her bedtime...I don't know what we were thinking. All in all the picture is cute, Lilly just has "the sleepy time stare" in the picture.

Sooooo, we were at the mall so late because I decided to cut all my hair off! This was a drastic cut for me, ~12 inches gone. I know many of you never saw my hair down, which was another reason I decided to cut it. I needed a change, especially after I saw myself in some family pictures. I thought "is this what I look like all the time? My hair looks so horrifying!" I took a picture of my new do, but it was taken after I worked all day so it looks kinda blah. Don't laugh at the shirt it's retro chic!
I think I figured this video thing out, we have a cheap digital camera that takes little videos so the quality is not great but you can finally see Lilly in action...

This next video is Lilly sitting in the Bumbo seat she borrowed from Kennedy. She really seems to like it...

Here are a few of the pictures Tracy took for us at East Shore. It is so nice to finally have some pictures of all of us together.

Lastly, I am going to mention this because I need to get in trouble for it...two weeks ago I had lost a total of 12 pounds!!! Woo Hoo right, yea that's how I felt so I cheated and cheated and cheated. What it took 8 weeks for me to lose I gained half back in 2. That's right I gained 6 pounds back in the past two weeks. I know it was Thanksgiving and all, but that is 1 out of 14 days. I am so mad at myself! So I am letting everyone know what I did so hopefully when I think about cheating like that again I will remember I have to post my gains for everyone to see! I also want to thank my wonderful husband who, despite all my self criticism, tells me I'm beautiful every day! (and it does make me smile) Oh yea, Jack has an appointment with the eye doctor next week! LOL
