I'm 1, I'm 1!!!!!

This is what we woke up to early Wednesday morning (LILLY's 1st BIRTHDAY). It was like she knew today was a special day and she was in for some treats.

Our day began with a trip to a park and pool. Lilly got to play on the swings while we waited for the pool to open (we were the first ones there). We went swimming for the first time this summer in a BIG pool. Lilly got to go down a water slide...and watch her mommy and daddy go down a big water slide (it was fun, I miss being a kid). Due to the morning hussle Lilly missed her morning nap. By the time we left the pool around 12:30 she was dragging. She fell asleep as soon as the car started moving.

Once we got home all three of us took a nap and didn't wake up until 5pm...OOOOOPS!

Off again...and Lilly is now forward facing! She looked a little green the first few trips, think it was an adjustment for her.

We met Nana, Papa, G-ma, G-pa, Summer, Brent, Sabrina, and Kennedy for dinner at Cheesecake Factory. It was yummy and a really good time. To end the night my Mom gave Lilly a time-out chair for her birthday! I think they are eagerly anticipating the old saying...PAYBACKS ARE A BITCH!

Thursday was Lilly's 1 year Dr. visit. All went realy well...she didn't get her shots. Short version...county insurance sucks, they don't cover shots, so we go to a volunteer church clinic for immunizations($3.00 a piece). Back to the services that are covered.

HEIGHT- 29.75 = 75%

WEIGHT- 20.13 = 40%

HEAD- 18.75 = >95%

Oh and her ears look good and she has all four molars coming in. She asked how many teeth she had, I responded 8...she said nope 12! Yea, I make it a habit not to stick my fingers in my child's mouth for fear of losing one, so I only count the ones I can see.

Later that day we met up with Sabrina and went swimming again. Then Lilly had her first slumber party with Kennedy and the mommies had their thousandth. We stayed up late talking and didn't cry once! I guess it's true, all those tears were a result of all those beers (or wine)!

Friday we spent the morning at the zoo with the Elliott's, Spychaj's, and Orum's. We had a great time, it was Lilly's first time to go. I think her favorite thing was her daddy and the fish.

I attempted to upload photos, if there were none in this post...It didn't work. I will try again later. I'm working with dial-up here folks, it takes time A LOT OF TIME!!! Well I also have a ton of pictures I want to post.

Can't wait for Lilly's party tomorrow!

SLACKER!!!

That's what I am! I have been running around for the past few weeks just trying to keep up with myself. There is so much still going on! I have not seen any of my friends in like...WEEKS no make that MONTHS!!! We are all in one room together and my computer time is usually after Lilly goes down for the night. WELL- the computer is about 2 feet from Lilly's crib so I have not had a chance to do any photo uploads, blog updates, ebaying, facebooking, etc. OK I found some time to order a new memory foam mattress off Overstock! TOTALLY ROCKS! I did get to venture out for Brody's baptism, that was a lot of fun...seriously I had a good time at church, go figure. OK so maybe it was more that I got to see the Spychaj's and Forest for a few hours. I feel so disconnected from everyone right now and feel like I'm missing so much.

A mini update because I am at work right now adding this post...but I will note that my shift ended 32 minutes ago...so I am not being bad. I just thought that if there was anyone out there that still cares about the Armstrong's may want an update.

We close on our new house June 25th. The inspection went great no major or really even minor issues. I already mentioned our new bed, it's like heaven for my back and neck. I would also like to announce that I got it for less than $1000.00 bucks! Not a bad deal. I am such a bargain shopper and proud of it. I also found a brand new Whirlpool Cabrio washer dryer set for $1145.00...they are priced at $900.00 a piece at Home Depot. I shouldn't mention that they are located in a really gangster part of Houston and was really happy to see our car still parked in the lot when we came out.

OK, LILLY UPDATE! She turns 1 in 4 days. We are doing a small celebration on Wednesday, going to the zoo for the first time Friday, and a party in the park with friends Saturday. She is such a big girl now. Still not walking, but she likes to stand on stuff and climb stairs. I will leave more updating for Wednesday. I will add birthday pics as well.

Gotta go Jack and I have our first night off in a very long time and are going out for dinner.
