Tyler Trip

SO, Lilly and I made the trip to Tyler last weekend to see the Elliott Family. I also went to take some belly pics for Reagan, since I took some for Kennedy. I am still playing with them, but I think I got some good pictures. I REALLY want a studio set-up in the new house. We made due with what we could find, but lighting and backdrops are tricky. Lilly had a blast with her buddy K. Here are some pictures from the visit.

Check me out, I can stand but...
I prefer to get around like this!

Kennedy going down the big kid slide...all by herself!

NO BOIZ!!! Every time this little man came near Lilly she started screaming. Her Daddy will be so happy if this continues thru college.
Lilly enjoyed all the neat toys Kennedy shared with her...
especially this balance beam Mark made for Kennedy. Uncle Mark I know what Lilly wants for Christmas ;-)
This was great, these girls hung out and watched TV together. I kept catching them watching the same way.
LAYING DOWN
THE SPLITS
FRONT & CENTER
TUMMY TIME
They are going to be such good friends. They get along so well and watching Kennedy try to say Lilly is probably the cutest thing ever. She just wiggles her tongue and says "lilililililili"! It really needs to be captured on video.
Lilly's new thing is "dip dip dip" I try to teach her to dip her food but all she wants is to dip her fingers.

I put my baby in a corner!

And a belly pic of Sabrina in her final weeks!
Thanks for having us.

House sweet it is...and more!

OK, things are finally starting to slow a bit...well enough for me to play on the computer and update our family blog. This post is loaded with pictures! The first half is house the second half is Lilly and us. We have been working very hard trying to get our house together. Mainly it is getting the rooms I have to see everyday organized so I don't lose my mind. Our biggest overhaul has been the kitchen, it is still a work in progress but it has totally transformed from what it used to be. I went ahead and posted before and after pics of some of the rooms we have worked on. It's amazing what a little paint can do...

BEFORE--
AFTER--
This is our formal dining/living room.
BEFORE--
AFTER-- I put the bedroom in here because I LOVE IT!!! There is enough extra room I can throw down some cardboard and rock the windmill (a break dance move- for the older folks...and maybe some of the younger ones) On a serious note, our last bedroom was like a sardine can.
BEFORE-- The Pièce de résistance!
AFTER--
When I say work in progress- with the kitchen we are still wanting to tile the floor and replace the white appliances with either black or stainless. We are also thinking of re-surfacing the cabinets at some point. I have to say they look soooo much better now with all the other color added to the room. We have a list of things we are still wanting to do. The biggest two are getting laminate floors downstairs and getting the screened in covered patio built. Jack would say a riding lawnmower, tee hee hee- I told him "push" mowers are for the birds, but I rest easy knowing HE got what HE wanted! Overall we absolutely LOVE the house. We could not be happier. The location is perfect, right in between both sets of grandparents, 5 minutes from Lilly's sitter, 2 minutes from a super Target, 3 min from Home Depot, a neighbor who loves to bake desserts and brings me some! (Did I say me I meant us)
LILLY!!!
Lilly is 14 months now! The girl gets funnier and funnier every day. She has the most heart warming laugh and big toothy smile...12 teeth to be exact.
She refuses to walk on her own and fights us when we try to walk with her. If we try to put her down she raises her legs. I truly believe in her mind she says "why walk when I can be carried!"
She hates GREEN food. If its green forget about it and get it far away...like on the floor! Lilly is a meat and potatoes girl no doubt about it. We could really use some help with this one. She does love fruit but we can not get her to eat a vegetable. Any pointers??? I really feel horrible as a parent, at meal time, when she only eats a bologna and cheese sandwich with a side of cheerios.

It was about time I took some pictures of Lilly. It was hot and she was getting tired, so for the pictures I did get I think they turned out pretty dern good.
She still has hardly any hair as you can tell. What she does have is getting longer but I fear the poor girl is destined to have her mothers hair...or lack there of!
She is more talkative now, but still pretty quiet overall...one thing she did not get from me! ;-) She is saying Momma and Dadda, Duug (dog), Daa (done), Whaadaa (what's that), tink tink tink (think think think) that one is my favorite cuz she points to her head. The girl is a sponge and it is very Monkey see Monkey do with her.

She finally fell off our bed...that was rough! I say finally because I knew it was a matter of time, the girl has no fear. She was near the edge and as I reached out to grab her foot she flipped over onto her hiney and bounced backwards off the side. I think the worst of it was when she hit the ground (flat on her back) she bit her tongue.
She has a mini recliner and she prefers to sit on the arm rest instead of where she is meant to sit. Well she has flipped off that thing at least 5 times (maybe it is a good thing we don't have laminate floors yet. Lesson still not learned there.

She is the cutest dern thing I have ever laid eyes on!

She just recently started giving kisses. I love getting a kiss from her.
She is super attached to her bear. Jack actually said it is kind of sad to think that Lilly could be away from us for a week and be totally fine with it as long as she had that bear. Well, one of 3 matching bears we now own.
She is starting to stand up on her own, YAY!
OK, some family news to end with. Riley (my 14year old dog) had to have surgery last week to remove a tumor from his leg. He is doing super and the vet said for his age he looks awesome. That makes me so happy, b/c he is my best buddy. Jack is next in line for a promotion to Corporal! We are so proud of him. Especially since he also made the SWAT team this year. As far as me I'm good, just staying busy with the house and playing with Lilly. Jack is ready for baby #2...I'M NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
