HGTV ain't got nothin' on us...

So The Armstrong Family is at it again, RENOVATIONS GALORE! We don't finish one project before I'm cruzin the isles of Home Depot and Lowe's to get supplies for the next one. This weeks undertaking was very exciting for me...our Master Bathroom. I can't stand carpet in a bathroom, who does that on purpose (gross)!!! So I decided to put down wood vinyl and it looks GREAT! Its cheap and pretty easy, well so I thought. Once JACK tore up the carpet and tiny strips of vinyl we found the flooring was not suitable for laying the new stuff. So off I ran at 8:30pm to Home Depot to buy some new sub floor. Once we got that down it was pretty smooth sailing. Here are some pics of our work.BEFORE

I do help Jack with some of the hard labor!
So sometimes I think my kid is weird so she is definitely mine! The sweet thing is scared of bath bubbles. You would have thought I was putting her into scalding water (which was actually my first thought when I dropped her into the tub). She started screaming and trying so hard to climb out. I yanked her out and checked the water again figuring the temp was a little to high for her...NOPE! Then I realized it was the bubbles. I finally got her content in the tub, but I did have bubble eyebrows and beard to make her laugh (that picture will not be shared) You can see her excitement in this photo.
She is becoming a little chatterbox with so many new words...such as git dog. Dr. Haggerty was right, watch what you say she is a sponge right now. Speaking of Dr. Haggerty, Lilly had her 15 month appointment on the 9th so here are her stats...
HEIGHT- 31=75%
WEIGHT-22.11=50%
HEAD- 18.5=75-90%
She was walking around the house just gabbing into the phone. We had our first accidental dial tonight b/c I forgot to lock my phone. So Lilly had a little conversation with her Nana before I figured her out. The phone and remote are like magnets to the child, no matter how many times we tell her NO and take them away she still manages to go for them. Now if you catch her she hands it over like "here you go I was just getting this for you!". And if she doesn't get what she wants...TANTRUM! Shown here in the following picture post tantrum over the remote.
It is nice that she usually goes into the front living room to throw her dramatic fits. Actually they really aren't too bad...I've seen worse, much much worse. Climber! we have a climber. This is why the phone and remote thing is such a constant battle. She climbs up on everything and no matter where you try to stash it she manages to get it. We were good for a while when we put it on the table behind the couch, but now she climbs all the way up the back of it and perches up top.
We will end with a picture of Lilly and her BFF, Mr. Bear. I know I'm bad, but when we are all in Jack's truck and we get a couple houses from our driveway I take Lilly out of her car seat and let her ride on the arm rest. She thinks she is so big! It's like she knows its wrong and totally enjoys it more. Jack and I always mention how our neighbors are going to gasp at the police officers driving with an unrestrained child...so we only do it at night! TeeHeeHee

Lilly took her first steps!

Lilly took her first 5 steps on Sept. 1st, 2009 just after 6pm!

This is so exciting because at the rate we were going I though we would be carrying her into Kindergarten. She did it again so I got some pictures and a video of the event (unfortunately the video is not digital). I am so happy with her timing. I had just got home from work...literally, I had not even had the chance to get my uniform off. Jack and Lilly had been watching for me from the bedroom window. I met them upstairs and Jack and I were just talking about the day when Lilly just started walking across the room. We were both stunned and super excited.

I want to post this...because I love how it turned out. This is another one of the pics I took of Sabrina and Mark.

OK 1 more...sorry Bre I just LOVE these pics you guys are so cute!!! (Besides you don't update your blog- so consider this a favor! LOL)
