So I have finally taken some pics of the house - new floors and I am going to share them with all of you. But first a little story...
Once upon a time we were County employees. The tale usually goes "county employees probably get great benefits". Well yes and no. Retirement $2.50 matched to my dollar...I know awesome right. Well health insurance is another story. So our lovely insurance is what it is, catastrophe insurance. So fall off a building, get shot, mauled by a pit bull, run over by a freight train...We are covered! Lilly needing REQUIRED immunizations - NOT COVERED! Well let me clarify; (conversation w/ my ins. co) "we cover the immunizations but you have to meet the deductible first, so I suggest you find a free clinic for your kids shots!" WTF- first off Lilly's deductible is $2,000.00, second we don't qualify for the assistance program Shots Over Texas, or whatever it’s called, because...WE HAVE INSURANCE. Ughhhh.
So this leads me into story #2. I take my adorable little girl, at 3 months old, to a church in Tomball for a "low income" immunization assistance program thingy. I walk into this room and there is this very large black woman sitting at a table. She is in an old school nurse uniform and says, in a very deep voice, "BRING ME THAT BEBE"! I wanted to turn around and run. In the end Lilly got 4 shots for $10. From that point whenever Lilly was due for shots we loaded up and went to Tomball for our $10 immunizations. I will say that the clinic is now in a new building and they have a lot more help. I took Lilly in for her last round of shots on Thursday. She is now done until she is 4, woohoo!
So back to the house. I am not going to say too much but I decided to put the pics in order of...
1. before we moved in
2. after we moved in, painted
3. after the floors
...so you can see our changes. Yes that is my bare xmas tree you will see, still displayed in our front window. What! I've been busy. Hahahaha
And on a final note...blogger has a new post editor setting. It totally rocks, adding pictures is way easier. I found it in the Settings tab under the Basics. Scroll down to Global Settings and chage the editor to the updated version.
