Baby #2 Update!

Jack, Lilly, and I went to see Dr. Syal for the first time yesterday.  Dr. Syal was with us to assist Dr. Parks during my c-section with Lilly.  Our OB with Lilly, Dr. Leslie Parks, passed away shortly after her birth.  We decided to use Dr. Syal since he was there for Lilly's delivery, not that I remember much of it.  I do however slightly remember him being very laid back and happy.  Well, I REALLY LIKE HIM!  YAY  He really is friendly and very personable.

He told me to cut my caffeine. I gasped and said not even my 1 grande starbucks drink EVERY DAY, which is mostly milk and only 2 shots of espresso??  He reluctantly compromised on 1 tall latte a day.  I'll take it!

Biggest lesson of the day...Lilly will NOT be joining us for any more appointments!  She was a terror, into everything and as soon as Dr. Syal came in she started screaming and crying.  Jack had to take her out to the hallway to have her little tantrum so I could even hear Dr. Syal's questions.

Revelation of the day...I am more of a space cadet with this pregnancy than I have ever been!  I was pretty nervous, enough that my blood pressure was slightly elevated.  We did our first ultrasound and got to see our little peanut.  The heart rate looks great at 160bpm.  We could see the brain, arm and leg buds.  It was wonderful; Lilly was actually interested in this part so she watched quietly.  Back to the space cadet part...I lost the ultrasound pictures!

Once I saw the baby was OK I think my body about shut down for the day.  I had been so worked up, worried that everything was going to be as it should.  After the ultrasound we returned to talk to Dr. Syal briefly.  I don't know where the pictures went from that point.  Jack said he handed them to me, I do remember that.  I also remember Dr. Syal said we are measuring...

8 weeks 3 days

making our due date December 4, 2010.  We will be having a scheduled c-section in week 39.  So as long as our due date doesn't change much our delivery date will most likely be...

NOVEMBER 29, 2010

After the appointment we went to Chuy's for dinner.  Once we got home I told Jack I was going upstairs to change.  The next thing I remember was waking up at ~10:45pm.  I totally passed out!  This is one of the biggest changes lately, I am getting so tired so early (like noonish).  A little nausea and loss of appetite...yet I have still managed to start putting on weight!  Sighhhh

Maybe those ultrasound pictures will turn up and I can post them.  If not I guess your first peek will be in another month!

Bluebonnets 2010

Well it was that time of year again, time for the cute photo in the bluebonnets.  Well for starters it took us three different trips to the park to try and get a decent picture.  Lilly did not want to cooperate AT ALL!  She knows the camera is there and does one of three things:

Cries

Frowns

Looks away

Here is one of the easiest shots I was able to take.  Well actually this one made Lilly cry because she wasn't holding her Teddy.  She does not go anywhere without this guy.

I was taking some pics of a mother and son and I handed her my camera so check it out, I got to get a picture with my peanut.  These were on our 3rd attempt.

Well you know I wasn't going to give up until I got a GREAT picture so here are some I really liked.  Unfortunately they are nowhere near bluebonnets!  Sighhh
SHE SMILED...SHE ACTUALLY SMILED

OK OK, so maybe after some editing I got a couple bluebonnet pictures for the memory book.  And as I was getting frustrated while taking them I did realize that these pictures are to record Lilly's life.  She was not always, every second of the day, 24/7/365.... a perfect picture of a child!  These pictures show her exactly as she was in this moment of her life...

THE TERRIBLE TWO'S!!!

So here is a good pic for you to enjoy.

This one is so stinkin' funny I love it!

 It was very windy...obviously!

I will add some pics from the 1st attempt soon.

Did you notice the new ticker???

Playhouse nears completion!

Ok, to recap...this is what we started with.
This was after a new coat of paint.

This is where we are now!  What a difference some paint makes.  Lilly keeps looking out the window pointing and says "house"!
She has been playing in it a little bit while we were out working on it. She has fallen out of the door onto her face about...hmmm 8 times.  You may notice the step which has been added to help. Well it hasn't, 3 of those falls were post step addition.  And let me just add how lucky we were when one of those falls included her holding a screw driver!!!  Thank the good Lord that she went down with it away from her body. Sigh  The girl is a walking disaster. I actually got the documents to get signed up with AFLAC's accident insurance for her.  Don't laugh I'm totally serious. I can foresee NUMEROUS trips to the ER with this kiddo.  Well some final touches will be made on the inside, like curtains, screens, and shelves for stuff.  Jack asked when we are going furniture shopping for it.  He rolled his eyes at me when I asked him to make a mailbox so I can send her letters.  He loves to remind me that she is ONLY 2!  HA-HA-HA-HA  Another big project we have for the house is to add a deck onto the front.  This we hope will reduce the amount of falls.

I promise that I will take a good picture with a real camera when we get it completed.
