12 week ultrasound

So things are moving along just great with this pregnancy!  As you can see we got great 12 week ultrasound pictures of the little one.  Baby has long legs and was very active during the ultrasound.  I feel pretty certain that this little one is going to be a boy, but we don't find out for another 5 weeks.  Currently we are at 16 weeks.  With Lilly I could not stand the thought of meat, with this one I can't get enough of it...burgers, steak, etc.  I was nauseous a lot longer with this one compared to when I carried Lilly.  I am still suffering slightly from morning sickness.  It comes on without notice and disappears just as fast.  It really stinks to be caught off guard with that.  For example while in a meeting with a co-worker, mid sentence, gagging, running frantically to a trash can, blahhhh, eat a couple crackers, back to the meeting.

The only other thing is my pelvis...OH MY GOSH...thank goodness for Chiropractors.  So a few weeks ago I started having an intense stinging, burning sensation in my pelvis area.  Lifting my legs, climbing stairs, getting out of a car...it was all torture.  I started getting this in the 3rd trimester with Lilly.  Well, I decided I needed to see a chiropractor to see if I could get some relief.  So it turns out my pelvis was out of alignment a bit from the pregnancy and once I started getting adjustments it was like magic.  It comes and goes now, but with a lot less intensity.  Plus I'm getting bonus treatments by having the rest of my back and neck adjusted.  So over all I am feeling so much more comfortable.  SO, to my friends who are or become preggers and are having discomforts...try a chiropractor- it's totally worth it!

On another note, baby names.  So I picked out Lilly's name and Jack gets to pick out this one.  He has yet to think of anything, sooooo I am telling people how much I like the name Liam Nicolas Armstrong, in hopes that it will stick.  LOL
Jack is not sold on the idea of Liam, and I think he may be leaning towards Jack Armstrong III.  He did mention Liam Jackson Armstrong at one time.  I had always wanted to name my boy Braden, but it has become so popular that I don't think it's an option anymore.  One name I really like for a girl is Ashlyn Michelle.  When we find out if the baby is a boy or girl I think Jack will have an easier time finding the perfect name.

The side by sides are both 16 weeks
So we thought I was big last time...YIKES!

2 is not so terrible

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LILLY-BUG!

I truly can't get over the idea that Lilly is already 2 years old!  She has grown so fast in the past few months and become quite an impressive young lady.

It turns out those terrible 2's I thought we were seeing emerge were actually the result of some pesky 2nd year molars!

OK, to get really weepy for a bit I will tell you a thought I had the other day.  So I was laying in bed one evening, I could hear Lilly in her bedroom as Jack was putting her down for the night.  From the time she woke up that morning her mouth was moving a hundred miles an hour.  (WHO DO YOU THINK SHE GOT THAT FROM?)  So I was thinking to myself, OMG I am so ready for silence, can't wait until that bedroom door is shut, I can't take another minute...  Then almost instantly I thought- what am I saying!  If something ever happened to my little peanut I would go crazy not hearing her little voice ALL THE TIME.  So I quickly changed my thinking- "talk, talk, talk away Lilly!"  It really is cute listening to her babble on and on.  It brought me to tears once I thought about how much I really would miss her.  Well, the pregnancy hormones do have me on a little roller coaster of emotion lately.

So on a happier note here are a few things we LOVE about Lilly!

1. She talks all the time, and is very repetitive...VERY REPETITIVE.
2. She still has no hair.
3. She is such a cuddle bug and LOVES to give kisses.
4. She hates grass, dirt, anything stuck to her hands and feet.
5. She makes the best facial expressions...my favorite being wrinkling up her nose and saying ewwww, usually in reference to something stuck to her hands or feet.
6. She has perfected the word "NO" and can have a pretty dramatic show to go along with it.
7. If she responds with an "ehhh"  it means yes.
8. She is a great dancer, loves music.  Jack's Big Music Show is still her preference.
9. She and Teddy are glued at the hip, she shows that bear SO much affection.
10. She always has a stuffy nose.
11. She almost always greets us at the door with a big hug and smile when we come home from work, this is the best!

there is so much more I could go on and on.....

She loves her Teddy, her new swing set, swimming, books, cuddling, riding in the grocery cart with the race car in front, Jack's Big Music Show, saying no, applesauce, dancing, being tickled....

Lilly we love you more than you will ever know.  We can't wait to watch you learn and grow in the next year.  We are really excited to see you become a big sister!  So much love for our sweet girl, it could never be expressed in words!
