31 weeks

Our appointment this week went pretty well.  We were so happy to see Liam again.  Leann spent 20 minutes trying to get some good pictures of Liam, but he was not working with us.  We have a few to share in this post but as you will see it is hard to see much of anything. 

This first one is an attempt to see his face.  That is his head on the right you can make out an eye, nose, and mouth.

Liam was moving a lot during the ultra sound, but he had his back turned towards us the entire time.  This is why we did not get any good face pictures.  Another factor was that big umbilical cord...which is literally in his face.  And lastly I do not have a large amount of fluid like I did with Lilly.  Leann said the more fluid the better the picture.  So this is our last glimpse of Liam until...

DECEMBER 1st, 2010!!

Our c-section is scheduled for that date.  Hopefully it stays that way, we are getting really excited.  The only scare we had during the appointment was when the nurse got 2 high BP readings.  Like 129/97 ish.  This along with the swelling I have been having kinda worried me, but Dr. S. came in 5 minutes later and it was around 110/72.  So that was a good sign.  I still feel really good.  I confirmed with the Doc that my total weight gain is at 19lbs.  This makes me so happy, I've been trying really hard to keep the weight down. 

My main goal now is to not let anything keep me from attending a week long training class in Bryan, the end of October.  It is a Fingerprint training course that I have really been looking forward to.  I have been terrified that something will prevent me from going, and it took a lot to finally get me approved for an investigation course like this.  3 more weeks...I CAN DO IT!

Jack starts the new position on Monday and is super excited.  Looks like he may get the 3 weeks off for the baby after all...if he can stand being home with us that long! LOL  He may decide to go back early...me I'm taking my 12 weeks and will probably need every bit of it to get back to normal.  I just know I will never get that time back and it is very important to me to be home with both Liam and Lilly those first few months.

I love Friday's!  There have been a few changes in the Armstrong household.  They are as follows...

Lilly -
The girl amazes us daily!  Maybe most of this is normal, but to us...WOW!

She can count to ten, when she really tries.

She is VERY good with the alphabet.

She can be very polite with her pleeez, tank you, scooz me, bless you, you welcome, and sorry (SO CUTE) and it makes us very proud.

Liam -

It amazes me how fast this pregnancy is going...2 more months!

We finally got some bedding and decor for his room, it just needs to be painted and it will be ready for him.  We went with brown, mint green, and light blue colors.  I have been hitting up Kid2Kid for some baby items (most of Lilly's stuff was neutral so we wouldn't have to buy new stuff).  I think my best bargain was a very slightly used Boppy pillow.  I borrowed one with Lilly and used it daily, Jack used it a lot too.  New ones are about $40 and a cover can be $15.  So silly for a pillow.  Anyway I scored a pillow and cover for $12!  I love that place.

Jack -

Well, Jack has made some big career changes lately.  He recently became a Sergeant on Patrol.  He was moved to D4 (Magnolia area) on night shift.  So it was nice to have him closer to home, but he really missed his D3 (East Side) shift. 

He just made a HUGE decision to take a demotion to Deputy so he could transfer to Warrants and Extradition.  He had to interview for the position and has been selected!  We are all so proud of him.  This is a big career change...kinda, I mean it's still Law Enforcement.  He will be working M-F, 8-5, holiday's off!  This also gives him the opportunity to work along side the SWAT team more, which is his ultimate goal.  He will be running local warrants and travelling on occasion to pick up wanted subjects all over the country.

He has been training super hard to stay in shape and has lost a lot of weight in the last few months.

Jody -

I have managed to find ALL the weight Jack has lost!  I am actually doing very good weight wise.  I can't remember the exact number from when I was preggers with Lilly but I know I gained just over 50 lbs total at delivery.  Right now I'm hovering around a 15-20 lb weight gain.  I just hope it stays that way.

I am no longer in Recruiting.  I have been moved back to Patrol on light duty.  I am assigned to an office that is a rocks throw from our house...which is soooo nice.  I take information calls and reports...and update my blog!  LOL

I still feel really good, especially after getting a prenatal massage on Wednesday...that was incredible!  We are really excited for our OB appointment next week and to see Liam again.  I am hoping we get to figure out the deliver date soon.

We are loving our home!  It makes me smile, to feel so fortunate and happy with our house.  This is why I love all the little projects we do together.  It just makes it feel more complete and more ours.  I feel like the list of projects never shrinks, mainly b/c I watch too much HGTV and DIY.  Our biggest future projects are a covered/screened in patio, and a "small" shower remodel in the master.  If we could only get lucky with a few grand from the lotto!
