When my Gulliver Travels...

I BUY STUFF!!!!!!

So Jack's new position has him travelling out of town every week or so.  Some of these trips has him staying the night leaving me unsupervised for two days.  So a few weeks ago Jack was away and I, being bored sitting at the house, decided to go to a Toyota dealership to look at cars.  I know, totally random and not the most exciting place to take kids.  Well they were both sleeping soundly in the car as I arrived so I just drove thru the lot jumping out to look at vehicles.  I am now the proud owner of a Toyota Sequoia!

A few weeks later our fridge went out.  Jack left it to me to go buy a new one.  He had to go out of town for work and here is the result...

Our new fridge looks great with the new stove, microwave, and dishwasher!  So other than finishing the side of the island with bead board our kitchen is exactly what I had been hoping it would be.  It looks great!

Jack is now terrified to go out of town; for fear of what I will go buy next.  NOTHING, I promise...well at least until they finish the covered patio on the back of the house.  It will obviously need furniture and decorating.

That is now in mid construction, it is going to look great.  I'm so excited to finally have that underway.

I am back at work so the home improvement projects will probably come to a close for now.  Jack is so happy to hear me say that I'm sure.

Valentines Day & Picture Post

Lilly really loves her little brother!  I finally got Liam's 2 mo pictures edited, here are a few of my favorites.

I have a picture of Lilly almost exactly like the one below.  Only difference is Lilly's eyes were closed.

Next is Lilly's at 2 months.

Back to Liam...

Liam is 2 months & the ER!

Milkstache
OK, I know it seems that I am a horrible Mommy for missing Liam's 2mo birthday post...BUT...I have a dern good excuse.  So I was planning on taking pictures and doing a post two weeks ago but my poor baby boy had an unexpected ER visit.  So on Feb 1st Liam hit the two month mark.  He seemed healthy and happy, until...

On the 3rd Liam's diapers had a funny look to them.  Those of you with kids are totally familiar with the crazy colors and stuff of the #2 variety.  Liam is still a breast milk only baby, so there was no reason for the sudden change in color.  I just figured maybe I ate something crazy that didn't digest well with him.  I changed his diaper Friday morning to find it FULL of blood.  OK, panic mode begins, called the DR office, which of course was closed b/c of the freezing weather, now I'm really freaking out.  I called Jack to tell him and get advice.  I of course took a picture and sent it to him...he works with a medic.  They said get Liam to the ER.

Jack rushed home, Uncle B saved the day by dropping everything to come over and watch Lilly.  We rush Liam to St. Lukes ER.  They checked him in pretty quick.  The Dr. gave us his multiple "possible" diagnosis', which pretty much all ended with Liam in surgery.  At this point I am terrified that my poor baby will have to live with a colostomy bag or something.  Poor Liam had to get an IV, which is really hard to insert on a 2 month old.
Liam had to have an ultrasound of his belly and then an x-ray.  He was a trooper and did so well.  The ultrasound was normal and the x-ray showed thickening of his intestinal walls.

  • What does this mean...GREAT NEWS
  • What is the diagnosis...Liam had a viral intestinal infection
  • What is the treatment...nothing, let it run its course.

THIS WAS NEVER GIVEN TO US AS AN OPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, seriously I have never been so scared in all my life.

We are so THANKFUL Liam is back to normal and everything "looks" good again.

Liam went to see his DR on the 9th for his 2mo check-up.  He is growing well and is very healthy.

He is 13 pounds and 23.5 in long.  That puts him in the 75th percentile for both.  His head is 15.9in, which is just over 50th %.

Happy Birthday Bubba!

Hhhhhhh, I know this picture of me is a little scary BUT it was early in the morning.  AND the only way I ever get myself in a picture with my family is by taking it myself.

Baby's 1st HAIRCUT!

I know what you are thinking...WHAT???  Liam is only 2 months old!  (that post coming soon)

HAHAHA, the 1st haircut belongs to none other than my 2 1/2 year old...32 months to be exact...LILLY!

Again, I know what you are thinking...WHAT hair?

Well, even though Lilly is way behind in hair growth the stuff she did have was getting wild.  I figured why not see if we can tame the crazy hair into something cute.  We took her to Sweet n Sassy and she LOVED it.  She did everything the "stylist" asked her to do and sat very still.  I think she really enjoyed every minute of it, especially getting her hair brushed & blow dried.  (That was her first time...her hair is dry 30 seconds after bathtime)

The first cut...

THE FINISHED LOOK!
WHAT...A...DIVA!

Here's lookin' at you kid

This was Lilly checking out her new style in the store windows.  She thought she was hot stuff!
