The Diet is DONE!

YAY!  Well I have finished the 40 days and lost a total of 26 pounds.  I was really hoping for at least 30, but I'm really happy with how I did.  I now have to maintain my current weight for 3 weeks before I can start trying to lose more.  I am in phase 3 of the diet and can now eat about 1200-1500 calories per day.  I am so excited to be eating My Fit Foods again, it's a welcome change to the bland diet from phase 2.

So not only did I lose 26 pounds, but it measured as 17.75 inches lost!  I took start measurements of my arm, chest, belly, hip, and thigh.

I still have to avoid sugar and starches, oh how i miss my Resses peanut butter cups.  Im feeling really good and am ready to start working on toning up.  If I am able to lose weight on my own I will keep going.  If I get stuck again I may go for another round with the hCG.  I just need to wait at least 6 weeks before I can start back up.

I have started going thru my closet to donate all my "big" clothes.  Im not keeping any "just in case" pants...it all goes!

So what's next, I want to try for about 15-20 more pounds.

A rainbow like Care Bears!

Lilly got to see her first rainbow yesterday and was extremely excited about it.  I think it made her cartoons just a little more magical.  The first thing out of her mouth was "look a rainbow like Care Bears, Dora, Ponies, and Coco Lips (aka-Strawberry Shortcake)".  We have no clue where she picked up coco lips for strawberry, but its cute.  I'm thinking it has something to do with a tube of chapstick.  FYI rainbows are hard to photograph on the fly!

Liam is doing great and healing well.  Lilly got super sick during Liams surgery and ended up at the Dr on Monday.  She had stopped eating and drinking and was getting very dehydrated.  1 shot of antibiotics and the kid was like new!  A chest x-ray showed the first signs of Pneumonia, but we caught it super early so we got lucky.  It just came at the worst time because Liam himself was a handful during the first couple days after surgery.  Adding a sick kid on top of it...sighhh this place was a mad house.

My diet is killing me, but I have now lost 18 pounds!  I would love a Subway sandwich, or pizza, or Reese's PBC, or even just a bite of anything I make for Lilly.  I have 13 days to go then I'm going to start eating My Fit Foods for my maintenance phase (3 weeks).

Oh Damn, this is hard...I'm putting it on here...for all to see...Sighhhh...ugh, I'm welling up with tears...my belly pictures...I'm so embarrassed...not like people couldn't tell anyways...but in print...I think I'm gona be sick...you may feel the same after...

Well there it is, I love the progress but I still have a long way to go!

Liam's Surgery Day

Liam had his surgery today and everything went really well.  We have been home now for a couple hours and he has been sleeping soundly.

This was just before he was taken back.  He was surprisingly in a good mood since we were now an hour past his feeding.  Liam does not like to miss a meal and is very vocal if he doesn't get that bottle on demand.

This was just after surgery.  Everything went pretty much as scheduled.  Liam had to have a surgical circumcision, due to not being able to do the standard method at birth.  Because he had to go under we had to wait until he was 7 months old.

This was Liam as he started waking up.  We didn't know what to expect, but he is not as upset as we thought.  The surgical area does look pretty gruesome.  It's wrapped up kinda like it has a cast.

He, of course, was ready to eat as soon as his eyes opened up.  I can not imagine, but have a smidge of an idea now, how parents do this regularly with sick kids.  It was so hard not to cry a bit looking at your baby with all those tubes attached.

While we were waiting for our car Liam was in a total daze!  There was a huge mobile on the ceiling that caught his attention.  We were pretty nervous to strap him in the car seat due to the sensitive area.  I think that's what the somber expression is from, he probably didn't want to move...at all!

Hopefully Liam will be back to smiles soon.  They said he will be swollen for 8-10 weeks.  His bandage can come off next week and he can straddle things in 2 weeks.  So this means no Baby Einstein, holding him on the hip, and bouncing him on a knee.  What a trooper he is!
